This picture is much better

New cat on the block

I'll try to take a better picture soon. Her name is Annabelle. She was a starving cat someone left in the woods think it could feed itself. Poor thing!

Well my daughter brought her home and though I didn't want to keep her, well, she won my heart. She has a little more meat to her now. The old cat Nala adopted her as well.

Now, Ravellympics! I watched the opening ceremony and started knitting for the sock put.

Now that sock no. 1 is completed I'm working on no. 2. I hope the Cloverleaf Eyelet pattern by Schurch will bring me luck for Team Canada.

THE Box!

Thanks to Judy I'll be having lots of fun knitting. I'll use the German yarn for the sockput during the Ravelympics.

Here is the whole box.

This is a closer look at the yarn and needles.

The home spun yarn she dyed with mushrooms and madder is a lovely burnt orange. I'll make the shawl pattern included with the package Ethereal Fuchu.

And I'll be reading and dreaming of patterns leafing through my new literature.
